Samsung on Wednesday announced the launch of what it claims is the "world's first Wind-Free air conditioner" range in India. This custom range of air conditioners employs Samsung's proprietary Wind-Free cooling technology to maintain room temperature without the need of direct air outflow, the company says. The air conditioner comes with an anti corrosion Durafin condenser and 8 Pole series technology. Available at leading Samsung retail partner stores, the air conditioners have a price range of Rs. 50,950 to Rs. 74,260. The Wind-Free technology will be at display during ACREX 2018 in BIEC, Bengaluru.

The Samsung Wind-Free Room Air Conditioner & Systems Air Conditioner range offers customisations with options including 1 Way Cassette, 4 Way Cassette, and Mini 4 Way Cassette depending on user requirements. The air conditioner is claimed to have 9,000 to 21,000 micro air holes that disperse cold air without blowing it out actively. This creates a 'still air' effect that maintains room temperature according to your preferences. Samsung claims 72 percent less battery consumption compared to the regular Fast Cooling mode.

"In the air conditioning segment, direct cold air dispersion and sky rocketing electricity bills are two problems that today's customers are weary of the most. The world's first Wind-Free Room Air Conditioner & Systems Air Conditioner from Samsung addresses both of these issues together, providing unparalleled cooling comfort, while guaranteeing optimum energy efficiency. Customer centric innovation lies at the core of our brand promise and this product pivots around this very approach. The new technology is especially designed to cater to Indian consumer's specific needs and preferences, given the severe climatic conditions here," said Vipin Agrawal, Director, System Air Conditioning Business, Samsung India.
