Google has doodled another football skill-centric World Cup 2014 doodle on Thursday, for the United States vs Germany match. With a long list of doodles featuring the likes of 'keepy-uppies', dribbling skills and the one touch football exercise, the latest one focuses on another important footballing aspect: headers.

Google's World Cup 2014 doodle number 34 for the United States vs Germany match on Thursday features the Google letters on a warm, golden beach. Barring the two O's, the other letters are mute spectators. The 'L' is represented in the form of a palm tree, which so often has been seen in the World Cup 2014 doodle series. Both the O's are practicing passing the ball by heading it. The green and canary yellow ball features again, and is the main recurring character in the doodle series.

Thursday's 'header' World Cup 2014 doodle is visible in most parts of the world, save for the upper parts of East, West and North Africa and a part of far South East Asia. Clicking on the image of the doodle, users are redirected to search results for the World Cup 2014 United States vs Germany match. It will be played in the seaside city of Recife at the Arena Pernambuco stadium.

The doodle results for United States vs Germany also give out the score sheets of the latest matches, news related to the World Cup 2014, the teams and players, as well as the schedule of the other upcoming games of the day. Labelled as one of the 'groups of death', Portugal face Ghana on Thursday in a must win game to harbour hopes of making it to the next round. The decision will also depend on whether Germany beat the United States, and if they do, what will be the goal difference.

The United States vs Germany World Cup 2014 match has many interesting details attached to it. Germany's World Cup 2006 coach, Jurgen Klinsmann, is the coach of the United States team now, and his second in command back then Joachim Loew is now the coach of the Nationalmannschaft (nickname of the German football team). Currently both the United States and Germany are tied on the top with four points each (Germany ahead on a better goal difference), whilst Ghana and Portugal both have one point each from their two games.
