Samsung is killing it in the high-end smartphone space, thanks to its Galaxy S8 (Review) series and Galaxy Note 8 (Review) smartphones. However, the company hasn’t had many stand-out offerings in the entry-level segment, with a few exceptions of course, such as the Galaxy J7 Prime (Review) and the Galaxy On Max (Review). The new year has only just begun and we’ve already seen a slew of new launches in the sub-Rs. 15,000 segment, and Samsung’s new Galaxy On7 Prime is one of them.

The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime features a metal unibody, which is sturdy. The 5.5-inch display features the now older 16:9 aspect ratio, but the Full-HD resolution keeps things sharp, and colours don't look overexaggerated. Brightness is good but the lack of an ambient light sensor means you have to adjust it manually. The phone is powered by an Exynos 7870 octa-core SoC, with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage in the higher-end variant. The Android version is a bit old (7.1.1) and the phone launches with out-of-date security patches. Overall app and UI performance is strictly average and the cameras don't fare well either due to the sluggish autofocus. Battery life is good but there's no fast charging.

This is really a perfect phone of this price range Rs.14999/-. Descent camera , found no distortion.Fantastic photo in low light. Exceptional sound quality. Display outstanding. Till date I used Samsung note 2. But after using it I am really satisfied. Please if u trust , don't go through all rubbish review regarding Resmi series phone.Redmi can never compete with Samsung concerning display & camera quality. This phone is surely over priced according to current marketBhaskar Mitra (Jan 23, 2018) on Gadgets 360It is Samsung but surely over priced.With just 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM price is Rs. 13K & 4GB RAM n ^4 GB ROM Price 15K with no front flash no FM radio no NFC no compass no gorilla glass processor less than 2Ghz though Exynos which is d only good thing about this phone.Not sure about its display but over all its surely over priced even if you are die hard fan of Samsung.Feel really disappointed how Samsung can do this to us?Is this review helpful?
