Wolfram Alpha now lets Facebook users analyse their personal data
Wolfram Alpha, the knowledge engine which answers factual queries by computing answers from structured data, has now developed a feature that will allow anyone to personally analyse their Facebook data.

Users just need to visit the Wolfram Alpha website and simply type 'Facebook report'. A screen prompts users to enable the Wolfram Alpha Facebook app, post which they need to create a free Wolfram Alpha account. After granting a series of permissions, Wolfram Alpha churns out a whole lot of data, including everything from which words you use most in your status updates and when you use Facebook the most, to who likes your updates the most and even your weekly app activity.

Data related to friends includes their relationship statuses, most common friend names, friends with the most mutual friends and more. In case users are interested in data specific to friends, they can search using 'Facebook friends'. Users can also know about their oldest and youngest friends listed under 'Age Rankings'.

Digging into his own personal Facebook data Stephen Wolfram said, "Wolfram|Alpha knows about all kinds of knowledge domains; now it can know about you, and apply its powers of analysis to give you all sorts of personal analytics. And this is just the beginning; over the months to come, particularly as we see about how people use this, we'll be adding more and more capabilities."
