Samsung on Thursday announced the launch of the new Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) in India, a 4G-enabled tablet. Priced at Rs. 9,500, the tablet will be available in two colour variants - White and Black. It will be sold across retail stores and Amazon.in starting Friday, January 5, 2018. The Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) comes with a Kids Mode that has children-centric educational content.

As we mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) comes with features like Kids Mode and parental control to let parents provide their children with a secure experience. Parents can restrict app access and set usage time limits.

Samsung is also running offers for Reliance Jio users wherein Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) owners can avail a cashback of Rs. 2,000 on recharge of Jio's Rs. 299 pack. Samsung says "On using this device with Jio, get an exclusive cashback of Rs. 2,000 in your JioMoney account, on recharging with Jio Plan of Rs. 299 for 24 months. As part of this offer, users will get Rs. 800 after the first 12 months, and Rs. 1,200, after the subsequent 12 months, in the JioMoney account, after performing 13 successful recharges of Rs. 299 every 12 months."

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) specifications

The Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) is a 4G tablet that sports a 7-inch WXGA (1280x800 pixels) TFT display. The tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 1.5GB RAM. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera sensor, with autofocus. On the front is a 2-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. The tablet has an inbuilt storage of 8GB that's expandable via microSD card (up to 200GB).

In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, GLONASS, VoLTE, and FM Radio. It has an accelerometer sensor. There is also a 4000mAh battery under the hood.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) was launched in India back in September. Featuring an 8-inch display, it had a launch price tag of Rs. 17,990.
