Showcased first at CES 2015, Sennheiser has gone ahead and launched its Urbanite range of headphones in India. The range includes - Urbanite XL Wireless, Urbanite XL, and Urbanite. The Urbanite XL Wireless and Urbanite XL are over-the-ear headphones, whereas the Urbanite is of the on-ear kind. The Urbanite XL Wireless, Urbanite XL, and Urbanite are available for a price of Rs. 24,990, Rs. 19,990, and Rs. 15,990. Furthermore, the Urbanite XL and Urbanite are split into two variants - 'i' for iOS and 'g' for Android.

The Urbanite XL Wireless works over Bluetooth, and NFC protocol. The headphones support the latest apt-X codec as well but this means you need to have a compatible device as well. Sennheiser claims that the Urbanite XL Wireless can deliver 25 hours of playback on a single charge. It has a collapsible design and a pouch as well.

The Urbanite XL Wireless also has touch control panel on the right ear cup that makes it possible to adjust the volume and skip to the next track by sliding a finger across the panel or tapping it. This is similar to the implementation on the Parrot Zik range of wireless headphones. Sennheiser also bundles a universal detachable cable with an integrated remote and microphone for controlling the music and taking calls on the move.
