Xiaomi Mi TV 3 With 70-Inch 4K Display Launched

Xiaomi is expanding its television lineup, and has unveiled the newest member of its TV 3 series featuring a 70-inch 4K screen. Priced at CNY 9,999 (approximately Rs. 1,02,250), the latest 70-inch Mi TV 3 will be soon going on sale in China. It's worth noting that the new 70-inch Mi TV 3 is the largest TV unit in terms of screen size in the Chinese company's TV line-up.

To recall, Xiaomi back in October had launched the Mi TV 3 60-inch, priced at CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 51,000).

The 70-inch Mi TV 3 sports a 4K display from Sharp with a 3840x2160 pixels resolution. It also boasts of 178-degree viewing angle. The Chinese company adds that the new Mi TV has over 85 percent NTSC colour gamut and 120Hz refresh rate. It features MEMC motion compensation. The company touts that the 70-inch Mi TV 3 measures 12.9mm at the thinnest part and up to 38.6mm at the thickest part. The device is powered by a quad-core MStar 6A928 (Cortex-A17) processor clocked at 1.4GHz and also comes with Mali-760 MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM. For storage, the Mi TV 3 packs 8GB of inbuilt storage. It features a metal frame, metallic body finishing, and also comes with a metal back plate.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, HDMI 2.0 (3x), Micro-USB, USB 3.0, and Ethernet port. The new 70-inch Mi TV 3 also features 2.5-inch full-range stereo speakers. The new Mi TV 3 also supports several video formats such as H.265 4K at 60 or 30fps and comes with Dolby DTS Virtual Surround Sound and Bass Boost.
