Xiaomi Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset Launched With IPx4 Resistance Against Sweat

Xiaomi's product portfolio has an extremely wide range and the company has now added another product into the mix. The Chinese company has launched Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset, which as the name suggests, can be used while performing physical activities like running, jogging, or while at gym. The headset has been priced at CNY 149 (roughly Rs. 1,500) by Xiaomi and will be available for purchase from November 11.

The Xiaomi Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset uses Bluetooth version 4.1 and can be connected simultaneously with two devices. It is IPx4 rated and is therefore splash resistant, to ensure that users don't worry about their sweat while using the headset.

The Bluetooth headset has an in-ear design with a loop to keep it wrapped around the users' ears even when they might be moving around at a fast pace. The headset is fairly light and weighs around 17.8 grams. The Mi Sports Bluetooth headset comes with a 110mAh battery that company claims can last up to 7 hours.

The company claims that the headset has been tested to work in extreme environments and is operational in temperatures between -20-degree Celsius to 70-degree Celcius. The company additionally provides five different ear caps in various sizes and shapes with the Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset, which it says provide distinct functionalities.

Just like most other products by the company, Mi Sports Bluetooth will be sold only in China at launch and is not likely make its way outside the country even later.
