7Seas launches The Dark Man for Android devices

Indian gaming developer, 7Seas Entertainment has launched a new game for Android called The Dark Man.

The Dark Man is an archery-based puzzle game that involves shooting apples placed as targets on a character's head. If the player misses, he fails to clear the level. The game sports a classic black and white look. The levels start off easy but continue to become more challenging.

While the full version of the game priced at Rs. 55 in the Google Play Store, has 30 levels, the free version offers 10 levels. It will also be available in the Samsung App store, LG Store and other Android supported app stores.

Speaking on the game's launch for Android users, Mr. Maruti Sanker, Managing Director of 7Seas Entertainment Limited said, "Android becoming the world's leading smartphone platform and garnering a 59 per cent smartphone market worldwide makes mobile games a much more reliable way to grow. To cash in on the increasing popularity of the Android platform, we will be launching more games for devices based on the Android platform."

The web version of the The Dark Man has been witnessing consistent popularity online, including social networking web sites and has seen over 15 million players so far since its launch a year ago.

The game has also received many awards including the 24FPS 2011 MAAC International Animation Award under the 'Best Game Design' category, FICCI (BAF)-2011 Award and the CSI (Computer Society of India)-2011 Appreciation Award.
