Popular tower defence game Clash Royale just got a substantial update for iOS and Android. Called the Epic Quests update, it adds daily and weekly quests for epic rewards, a new game mode called Touchdown that removes towers from the game, and a revamped shop to name a few changes. It’s available for download now.
Dubbed as the “biggest update ever” to Clash Royale since its 2016 release, it brings balance tweaks to card decks, and chat and rematch options with 2v2 teammates too.
“The way we approach card balance in Clash Royale is a combination of playtesting, listening to the community and looking at the stats. You can expect regular balance updates to keep gameplay fine tuned and as fun as possible,” developer Supercell said in its blog. These include damage increases to cards like Tesla and decreases to hit speed on cards like Sparky.
The Clash Royale Epic Quests update will also see the removal of achievements from the game in the next update, Supercell said.
While the characters used for Clash Royale are similar to Clash of Clans, the gameplay is completely different. Clash Royale combines card games, tower defence, and multiplayer online battles, to offer a unique experience. You can check out our guide on how to crush your opponents in style in Clash Royale.
