Google's 'Inbox by Gmail' app, which had got Android tablet and Android Wear support in December, has now been extended to the Apple iPad as well. The company has also provided Web version support for Firefox and Safari.

On Thursday, the company announced the iOS app update through its Official Gmail blog, noting that the app which is now compatible with the iPad has been improved "making it easier to use on more devices and browsers." Additionally bug fixes and performance improvements have been made.

Google also announced the Inbox by Gmail Web service, which was limited to the Chrome browser, now supports Firefox and Safari browsers too. Users have to sign in from inbox.google.com.

If you are still not aware of Inbox by Gmail, the app was launched in October last year and it is still accessible via an invite-only system. The company also opened invitations for 24 hours in January.

Apart from normal Messages management features such as 'pinning', 'sweeping' the Inbox by Gmail app also has a 'Snooze' option for emails and reminders, which not only allows users to set a custom time but also a location-based snooze as well. Other than the same day time, users can snooze emails and reminders to another date and time, or a place. Inbox users will also be able to save and name common places, such as home, work, and library.
