MakeMyTrip, the popular online travel booking site has launched its app for mobile devices in both iOS and Android versions. The app which was initially available on BlackBerrry devices, allows users to search and book flights in a convenient way.

The app's interface is very simple and intuitive for both versions. Once passengers log in, they can start booking flights or check their flight statuses. Passenger details are stored for future use, thereby eliminating the need to re-enter details again.

MakeMyTrip allows users to view booking details, cancel existing flights, request e-tickets and track refunds as well. Passengers can filter flights based on Time, Price, Airlines and Fare Type. They can also save their bookings and visit them later in case they need to make changes. The app also shows nearby restaurants using the owner's location services.

Speaking at the app's launch, Mr. Amit Somani, Chief Products Officer, MakeMyTrip.com, shared, "MakeMyTrip became one of the top 5 most-downloaded travel apps in India with only the Blackberry app on offer. This overwhelming response encouraged us to extend our product offering to other popular mobile platforms. With this launch, all smartphone users will now be able to have a seamless experience with MakeMyTrip through their devices."
