Bajaj Launches 2024 Pulsar N150 and N160 Models in India

Bajaj has officially launched the 2024 models of its popular Pulsar series, including the N150 and N160 variants, in India. Both bikes now come in two variants each, with prices starting at Rs 1.18 lakh for the N150 and Rs 1.31 lakh for the N160. The base variants retain the digi-analogue display, while the top variants feature a new LCD dash with Bluetooth connectivity for accepting or declining calls. Additionally, the top variant of the N150 now includes a rear disc brake, while the N160 is offered only with dual-channel ABS. Despite these updates, the prices have slightly increased by Rs 3,000-6,000 depending on the model.

Skoda Octavia Facelift Design Revealed in Official Sketches

Skoda has unveiled official design sketches of the highly anticipated Octavia facelift, set to debut globally on February 14, 2024. The refreshed model will be available in Sportline and RS versions, maintaining its status as Skoda's best-seller with over seven million sales since its inception in 1996. Expect a more aggressive design with second-generation LED Matrix headlights, signature butterfly grille, and sharp LED taillights. The interior is anticipated to feature a revamped dashboard, larger touchscreen infotainment system, and updated upholstery. New and enhanced features may include ADAS, ambient lighting, connected car tech, and USB Type-C ports. Engine details are yet to be confirmed, but existing options are expected to continue, possibly with mild-hybrid assistance and an updated plug-in hybrid variant.

Yamaha FZ-X Debuts in Chrome, Metallic Black Colourways

Yamaha has unveiled the latest additions to its FZ-X lineup by introducing two new colour schemes – Chrome and Metallic Black, priced at Rs 1,39,700 and Rs 1,36,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. This move aligns with Yamaha's commitment to refreshing its product range and meeting the changing preferences of its diverse customer base, especially the younger demographic. To sweeten the deal, the first 100 online bookings for the Chrome variant will receive a complimentary Casio G-Shock watch upon vehicle delivery. The FZ-X retains its current specifications, boasting a powerful 149-cc engine, Traction Control System (TCS), single-channel ABS, LED headlight, and Bluetooth-enabled Y-Connect App.

Tesla Managers Assess Job Criticality, Fuelling Layoff Concerns

Tesla managers are evaluating the necessity of each employee's role, sparking fears of potential layoffs within the company, Bloomberg News reported. This assessment follows the cancellation of some employees' biannual performance reviews. The electric automaker, which had 140,473 global employees as of December 31 last year, sent out inquiries regarding the criticality of each job position. Tesla's actions come amidst CEO Elon Musk's warning of slowed sales growth in the current year, despite ongoing price cuts impacting margins. The company's shares rose by 2.7 percent in premarket trading despite a year-to-date slump of over 25 percent. These developments occur as Tesla faces challenges in maintaining its market position amid concerns over demand, competition, and performance.

Kia Seltos Facelift Crosses 100,000 Bookings, Sunroof Variants Popular Choice

Bookings for the revamped Seltos have crossed the one lakh mark since its launch. 80 percent of buyers opt for higher-spec variants, including those equipped with panoramic sunroofs. The introduction of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) sees over 40 percent of customers prioritising safety features. Automatic transmission variants witness high demand, comprising nearly half of all bookings, while diesel-powered options remain popular, constituting 42 percent of total bookings. The Seltos boasts premium features like dual 10.25-inch displays and advanced safety features, including six airbags and ADAS functionalities. With powertrain options ranging from a 1.5-litre NA petrol to a turbo-petrol and diesel engine, Kia offers versatility to cater to diverse preferences. Priced competitively between Rs 10.90 lakh and Rs 20.30 lakh, the Seltos compete against top rivals in the compact SUV segment.
