Superb AC, worth every penny. Amazon did a great job delivering it in pristine condition. I had ordered two of these.What I liked =1. Really fast and consistent cooling.2. Power consumption around 0.6-0.7 units per hour.3. Quick response from hitachi service team. Had raised installation request in the morning and by evening the team had completed the work. The job was clean and professional. Paid 499x2 for installation and 900x2 for the stand.4. Hitachi gave a total of 5 years warranty for the PCB (most critical component. Replacement outside warranty can easily burn your pockets) apart from standard IDU and ODU warranties.What I didn?t like :1. Very basic remote.2. No temp display on IDU3. No horizontal swing and you have to do this manually (C?mon Hitachi. This is just a basic feature)4. Not so very silent ODU (Perhaps this might be the case with even other brands, but somehow I wasn?t expecting this)Overall verdict 4.5/5

Did not find any difference in power bill for using this inverter ac inplace of 3 star ( non inverter) split ac.Could be that efficiency of compressor motor falls drastically at low speeds.

It makes lot of Noise

Good product, delivery is even better, but installation service is poor. Product delivers on very next day and installation done after 9 days of delivery!Otherwise cooling is good, operation is user friendly.

Purchasing AC from series - 'MERAI', 'SUGOI', 'TOUSHI' would look very lucrative given the brand name and price, but you might end up cursing yourself for the most important aspect of the IDU - FAN NOISE.These new series of Inverter/Fixed-Speed ACs from Hitachi -esp. 'MERAI' has high rpm for the Indoor Unit Fan. Which results in a very high ambient operational noise. To give an actual picture - the noise it generates at LOW fan speed is much higher compared to what other ACs make at High fan speed. This is for a split AC which are suppose to make negligible noise. Ambient Noise levek at Fan Speed - ' Low' is 38db. A cursory look at noise specification of competitors will reveal that they make this noise at High fan speed. Imagine trying to sleep with the AC making so much noise. Noise is so much so that it acts as a disruption to conversation in normal audible volume as well as affects sound sleep.I purchased, repented and had to fight tooth and nail with them to accept this design folly and thus forna return. Which they finally did in a tight lipped manner. It's a pain and close to impoasible to escalate matters at Hitachi. Such a big brand and they Donot have any escalation mail IDs. Just a stupid escalation matrix and primitive forms.Purchased another brand in replacement which I won't disclose to maintain the ingenuity of my review above.

Don't even think of buying any HITACHI ACS. I bought rsd318eaea model a month ago, it is not turning on since yesterday morning. If anybody want to save money don't buy Hitachi ac. If a product fails to work with in a month of buying it , you can clearly see the quality of the product.I don't know about other ACS but Hitachi ACS are definitely not good.

item code is different , my order was for RSH317HBEA. OUTDOOR AND INDOOR UNITS.BUT I RECEIVED AS CSH317HBEA AND ESH317HBEA, outdoor and indoor unit.

These are fake hitachi products being sold in india. My 1.5 ton split got worst in 1 year, 2 times gas leakage, now indoor motor and capacitor is not working. Customer care is not able to resolve. Technicians visited 2 times but could not resolve. Hitachi Technicians are also illiterate they are telling they are given only 2 hrs training before being sent to field for repairs. Stay away from hitachi.

Giving only one star just for the attention otherwise it's 0. Hitachi brand name is Good. But services is worst... Not customer Friendly... We have purchased Hitachi Spilt Inverter AC 1.5 ton in last year June-2017. Now AC is not working since April 2018. And slowly slowly they have changed all spare parts of our AC and then also still condition is same not working. Don't waste ur huge amount on this brand.

Don't buy Hitachi ACS these are the worst Acs.I bought 1.5 ton inverter ac.With in 2 years the Mother bond is failed and no warranty covered..Service executives are very insensitive and they never concerned about our anguish they are very impolite and harsh..Don't buy them..
