The long-awaited IPL auction 2017 has finally started, with 352 players up for grabs for the eight franchisees that will be participating at the cash-rich T20 league this year. The excitement among team managers and fans is at a high note, with the fate of many teams to be decided by this IPL auction. TV coverage of the IPL auction 2017 is limited to Sony Six and Sony Six HD channels, but you can catch the auctions online on various outlets.

Where to Watch IPL auction 2017 live online?

To catch the IPL auction 2017 live, you need to head to Hotstar.com or the Hotstar app, which is streaming the event online in India. In the UK, you can catch the IPL auction 2017 live on the Internet on Sky Sports Go, and SuperSports.com in Africa, OSN Play in the Middle East, and Watch ESPN in the US.

When does the IPL auction 2017 start?

IPL auction 2017 live stream starts at 9:00am IST on February 20, and is expected to continue till late evening. There will be a lunch break in-between.

The main attractions of the IPL 2017 auction will be players such as Ben Stokes, Ishant Sharma, Angelo Mathews, Eoin Morgan, and Mitchell Johnson. From the pool of over 350 players, only 75 players will go under the hammer and land in a team. Each team will try to get the possible combination of players within the limits of their purses. At the start of the IPL auction 2017, the teams are left with the following amounts:

Kings XI Punjab – Rs 23.35 crore
Delhi Daredevils – Rs 21.5 crore
Sunrisers Hyderabad – Rs 20.9 crore
Kolkata Knight Riders – Rs 19.75 crore
Rising Pune Supergiants – Rs 19.1 crore
Gujarat Lions – Rs 14.35 crore
Royal Challengers Bangalore – Rs 12.825 crore
Mumbai Indians – Rs 11.555 crore

Already, South African pacer Kagiso Rabada has been snapped up for a cool Rs. 5 crores against base price of Rs. 1 crores, while Ben Stokes fetched an astounding Rs. 14.5 crores by Rising Pune Supergiants. Royal Challengers Bangalore picked up Tymal Mills for Rs. 12 crores against his base price of Rs. 50 lakh. On the other hand, the likes of Ishant Sharma, Irfan Pathan, Imran Tahir, Darren Bravo have not received any bids yet.
