  • Apple plans to announce a new line-up of MacBook Pros running on Intel's Ivy Bridge processors and featuring USB 3.0.
Ahead of the WWDC 2012 to be held on June 11, Apple plans to unveil a new range of ultra-thin MacBook Pros featuring high definition screens similar to those found in the iPad and iPhone.

According to Bloomberg's report, these new 15-inch MacBook Pros will run on Intel's latest Ivy Bridge processors and will also have flash memory to help decrease startup time. They are also expected to feature improved battery life.

Further reports from 9to5Mac suggest that the new line-up, which will be completely revamped, may lose the optical drive thereby contributing to its slim design. They're also expected to feature the much awaited USB 3.0.
