Sony unveils new touch-enabled T Series 15 VAIO Ultrabook

Sony's popular VAIO T series Ultrabook lineup got a makeover with an optional touchscreen for the T Series 14 Ultrabook and the new full-HD, touch-enabled T Series 15. The new touch enabled VAIO T Series 14 and T Series 15 will be available this spring for about $800 and $950 respectively at Sony retail stores and other authorised dealers in the US.

The Windows 8-based T Series Ultrabook range sports a stylishly slim magnesium and aluminum design featuring Sony's digital imaging and audio technologies. The ultrabooks come with integrated stereo speakers with Clear Phase technology along with blu-ray disc players.

Apart from having different screen sizes as the names suggest, both Ultrabooks are powered by the latest Intel processors. There isn't much information from Sony on the new T Series 15 but users can visit Sony's official Online store to receive notification regarding their availability.

The T Series 14 Ultrabook sports a 14-inch LED backlit display (1366x768), offers configurations upto 500GB Hard drive storage with upto 8GB RAM. It is powered by 3rd generation Intel Core processors (configuration options include i3,i5,i7).

Apart from these, the VAIO Duo 11 is now available in a new Silver colour in addition to the original Black. The machine is pretty slim and light at approximately 2.84 lbs. It features an 11.6-inch screen with scratch-resistant glass and offers a pressure-sensitive digitizer stylus for users to experience natural handwriting directly on the touchscreen.

A choice of swappable pen tips allows for a firmer or softer writing feel. users can write, sketch and interact with media and applications on the full-HD touchscreen.

The VAIO Duo 11 features a durable Surf Slider mechanism to switch smoothly between keyboard and tablet for a dual functioning computing experience.

The device come with an LCD display and backlit keyboard and is available on latest-generation Intel Core processors and now has a 512 SSD. Additionally, it includes full functional I/O port connectivity and Sony's unique Sheet Battery technology (sold separately).
