Microsoft is reportedly preparing to finalise the Windows 10 build, bringing it to the RTM (release to manufacturing) stage this week ahead of its official July 29 release.

The Verge citing people familiar with the company's plans reports that Microsoft is working on the final build of Windows 10 and the RTM build is expected by end of this week.

Additionally, a new build 10176 has been spotted online (via WinBeta) and is said to be one of the 'first candidates for RTM'. For the uninitiated, the RTM is a term used when a software product is ready to be delivered or provided to the customer, in this case the manufacturers, and it precedes general availability.

Microsoft will start sending RTM copies of Windows 10 to its OEM partners ahead of the July 29 launch. Neowin's Brad Sams claims Microsoft has plans to sign off on the RTM build on July 9. The Redmond giant has also confirmed it will release another build - expected to be the final 10176 build - this week.

In its latest post, Microsoft listed some updates to Entertainment in Windows 10. Xbox Music will now be called Groove, and the Xbox Video has been renamed to Movies and TV. "You'll find with both apps in the build coming to Windows Insiders this week," notes Microsoft.

The new entertainment feature will be only available to members of the Windows Insiders. "Windows Insiders who are a part of the Fast ring and upgrade to the next PC build will see these updates in the Store beta first. For anyone else, you'll get to enjoy these updates with Windows 10 starting on July 29," adds Microsoft.

Microsoft has already confirmed that Windows 10 will be the last Windows OS version as the company will soon employ a "Windows as a service" mode. The company will push out regular updates to the OS instead of introducing new versions.

Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system will be hitting the market on July 29; though everyone won't be able download the new OS on that date. Microsoft recently revealed some details about Windows 10's phased rollout, which will start with users on the Windows Insider programme.
