Lava Mobiles was slower than its competitors in 2018, launching very few smartphones in the market. While some manufacturers were launching new models every few weeks or months, Lava only launched a handful throughout the year. The company wants to start 2019 with the Z92, a budget smartphone priced at the affordable Rs. 10,000 mark. Sticking with current trends, the Lava Z92 has a notched display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. Is this enough to help Lava make a mark in this segment? The Z92 is a budget offering from Lava and is priced at Rs. 9,999. It has a 6.22-inch display and a notch at the top. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC and has 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of storage which is further expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot. The Lava Z92 runs Star OS 5.1 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. It has a 13-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The Z92 is a dual SIM phone with support for both 4G as well as VoLTE on both SIM slots. It has a 3260mAh battery.
