BlackBerry earlier this week launched its latest Android smartphones in India, the DTEK50 and DTEK60. The DTEK50 is the more affordable of the two, priced at Rs. 21,990, while the DTEK60 is a premium offering, priced at Rs. 46,990.

The new BlackBerry Android smartphones both feature impressive specifications, and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the Canadian company's customisations on top. It is these customisations, along with the promise of prompt security updates, that BlackBerry touts as the reasons to call the DTEK50 and DTEK60 the 'world's most secure Android smartphones'.

The BlackBerry DTEK50 will become available to buy in India by this weekend, while the BlackBerry DTEK60 will go on sale in India only in early December. Ahead of our full review of the two smartphones, we've created a first look video for you, and you can check it out above.

The two new BlackBerry Android smartphones share a few common specifications, such as the front 8-megapixel camera with an 84-degree wide-angle lens and an f/2.2 aperture, as well as the same sensors - accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. Both smartphones are also single-SIM offerings, supporting Micro-SIM cards, and also offer storage expandability via microSD card (up to 2TB).

As for the differences, the BlackBerry DTEK50 sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 16GB of inbuilt storage, 4G LTE (with support for Indian LTE bands), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, FM radio, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a 2610mAh non-removable battery. It measures 147x72.5x7.4mm and weighs 135 grams.

The BlackBerry DTEK60 features a 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM, a 21-megapixel rear camera, 32GB of inbuilt storage, 4G LTE (with support for Indian LTE bands), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a 3000mAh non-removable battery. It measures 153.9x75.4x7mm and weighs 165 grams.
