The iPhone 17 is powered by an A19 chipset and runs on iOS 26. It comprises a 16-core Neural Engine, which Apple claims delivers power-efficient AI inference, increased memory bandwidth, and improved performance. In total, the CPU performance is claimed to be 40 percent faster compared to iPhone 16. Apple has bumped up the storage as well, with 256GB as the base storage. It comes with support for the same Apple Intelligence features as the Pro models.

As per the company, the iPhone 17 can deliver up to eight hours more battery life compared to the iPhone 16. It gets faster charging too, with a 50 percent charge in minutes. Meanwhile, a 10 minute charge can provide up to eight hours of usage.
