Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry looks all set to launch its mid-range QWERTY smartphone Q5.

The smartphone was expected to be launched in UK in July, but as per a report by phonearena.com, it is already available on pre order through unlocked-mobiles.com. The website is asking for £349 (including VAT) for an unlocked-Blackberry Q5. The website is also claiming that it will start delivering this smartphone from July 15. The smartphone is expected to come in four colour options - Black, White, Red and Pink. However, only the White and Black variants can be pre-booked as of now.

BlackBerry had first showcased the Q5 smartphone at the BlackBerry Live Conference held in May 2013. Just like the flagship BlackBerry Q10, it will come with a 3.1-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720X720 pixels. This smartphone too will pack in a full QWERTY keyboard.

BlackBerry Q5 is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone packs in 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded by up to 32GB via microSD card. For camera, there is a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front shooter on board. The smartphone also comes with 2180mAh battery.

Apart from the BlackBerry Q5, there are also news reports suggesting that the company is planning to launch a new flagship smartphone, called A10 by November 2013. This smartphone is rumoured to be an all-touch smartphone, a successor to the BlackBerry Z10.
