LG announces three new smartphones at Mobile World Congress

LG has announced the launch of 3 smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2012 - the LG Optimus 3D, LG Optimus 4X HD and the LG Optimus Vu.

The LG Optimus 3D Max runs on a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. The device is HSPA compatible with speeds upto 21 Mbps. While the device runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, it is slated to get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich shortly. It has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and dual-cameras, with the rear camera rated at 5 megapixels. The Optimus HD has a big 4.3" panel (with 3D support) and what LG has named 'NOVA' - display that runs brighter.

The LG Optimus 4X HD has a 1.5GHz quad core Tegra 3 chip with 4-plus-1 technology. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has 16GB internal storage, 1 GB RAM and an 8MP BSI (Backside Illuminator) camera. The phone has a 4.7" 1280 X 720 IPS True HD IPS display and is 8.9mm slim.

The LG Optimus Vu measures at 8.5mm thick, device weighs 168g and runs on Android Gingerbread (2.3.6) with an ICS upgrade on the cards. The smartphone sports a 5"-inch" backlit LCD screen with a resolution of 1024x768 and an aspect ratio of 4:3. Under the hood, the device has a dual-core 1.5 Ghz processor with 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage capacity. The device has an 8 megapixel shooter with LED flash and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera.
