While LG has revealed almost everything about its upcoming G4 flagship handset, both with official teasers and statements as well as a leaked micro-site, some details are still missing - such as the processor. Now, a purported LG G4 image has surfaced that tips details about the processor powering it. All will be revealed soon however, with the handset set to launch on April 28.

The leaked image, which comes from a Twitter user named @iziHaterz, shows the purported display of the LG G4 and the SoC section of the interface, which lists a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 and its details - six CPU cores and Adreno 418 GPU.

The app additionally mentions 28nm build process, which does not match with Qualcomm Snapdragon 808's company page listing, which shows a more efficient 20nm process. The Snapdragon 808 includes a dual-core ARM Cortex A57 and a quad-core A53 with 64-bit support. If the leak is any indication, LG G4 will be the first device to be powered by the chipset.

LG has long been expected to feature the top-end Snapdragon 810 SoC on the G4 flagship, despite numerous reports about overheating and other issues. The SoC was used by HTC on its One M9 flagship, as well as by Xiaomi on the Mi Note Pro. Several other manufacturers, such as Letv, ZTE, Sony, have also used the SoC on their handsets. LG has already used the SoC on the G Flex2 curved display flexible smartphone. Microsoft had also announced it would be using the Snapdragon 810 on top-end Lumia handsets in 2015, while Motorola and Oppo have also confirmed their intention to use the SoC.

LG on Thursday teased its 5.5-inch QHD IPS display in a short video boasting a 'Quantum IPS' display. The video also notes the display to be 25 percent brighter and feature 20 percent wider colour range than its competitors.
