Our Kickstarter of the Week column is a regular look at the new projects on Kickstarter and other crowdfunding sites. We want to find the most innovative and interesting new projects on these sites for you to back. That's because in the last couple of years, some of the most exciting developments in technology, like the Pebble smartwatch and the Oculus Rift have come, not from the established players, but from small teams with big dreams. We're watching out for what comes next.

Of course, it's important to remember that crowdfunding is not pre-ordering. Sometimes, crowdfunded projects don't work out. Despite that, we're still fans of the concept, because it has led to so many interesting new gadgets.

Sometimes though, the coolest things are the ones which won't make a big difference in the world, but could seriously help make your life a little bit more convenient. That's why we really liked the Griffin Pocket Tool. We've seen similar multitools before, but the design of the Griffin and its functions look really good.

The keychain includes 11 different tools, which gives our trusty Victorinox Spartan a run for its money. It includes a number of different hexagonal nut tighteners, a screwdriver, a prying tool, a scoring tool, a bottle opener, and a carabineer clip.

It's also pretty cheap - you can back the project for just $15 (approximately Rs. 900) and get a stainless steel Griffin Pocket Tool, and it ships worldwide. The estimated delivery date is June 2015, and this is a relatively simple product, so the risks involved in backing are also fairly low.

The project has a $2,000 goal (approximately Rs. 1,24,500) and has already crossed that target, with nearly a month to spare. The project will be accepting funds until May 8, so you can back it and get a Griffin before that.
