Datawind on Tuesday launched two new 10-inch tablets in the Indian market, dubbed UbiSlate 10Ci and UbiSlate 3G10. While the UbiSlate 10Ci is priced at Rs. 5,999, the UbiSlate 3G10 is priced at Rs. 9,799. Both tablets are available exclusively via Snapdeal e-commerce website.

Some of the specifications common to both the Datawind UbiSlate 10Ci and Datawind UbiSlate 3G10 include a 10.1-inch display with 1024x600 pixel resolution display, 1GB of RAM, front-facing 0.3-megapixels (VGA) resolution camera, and a 6000mAh battery capacity rated to offer up to 6-8 hours of battery life. Both tablets also support expandable inbuilt storage via a microSD card (up to 32GB).

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based Datawind UbiSlate 10Ci (seen above) is powered by a dual-core Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1.1GHz. On the other hand, the Datawind UbiSlate 3G10 (seen above) runs on older Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a dual-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The tablet comes with a support for a SIM card, providing 3G connectivity besides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It also sports 8GB of inbuilt storage, and 5-megapixel rear camera. The tablet is listed in a Black colour variant only.

"There is an increasing interest in larger sized screens, especially for people looking for their first computer. We were the first to offer the 9 inch tablet at the most affordable price. Our 10 inch marvels are a first in their class, beating the existing product range available in the market by a good 25 percent margin over existing prices. As its predecessors, these tablets offer just the right mix of features and on-the-go connectivity," said Suneet Singh Tuli, President & CEO, DataWind at the time of the launch.
