Swipe launches Halo Value tablet with Android 4.1 and voice calling for Rs. 6,990

Swipe Telecom has added another tablet to its Halo portfolio in the form of the Halo Value priced at Rs. 6,990. The company's current Halo lineup includes Halo Tab X 74S, Halo Edge and Halo 3G. The Halo Value tablet will be available with leading online portals as well as at Swipe Telecom's website.

Measuring 197x124x10.9 and weighing 335 grams, the tablet sports a 7-inch TFT LCD multi-touch capacitive display and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It features a 2-megapixel rear and a VGA front camera too.

The innards of the tablet boast a 1.5GHz processor with 512MB DDRII RAM. The tablet comes with 4GB of internal storage and external expansion support upto 32GB.

Swipe Halo Value supports data and calling via 2G Dual SIM and video calls through Skype. The Halo Value comes with a 3,400mAh battery.

The tablet comes with a host of pre-installed apps including games, entertainment, education and social networking amongst others like Olive Office Premium and Ebook Reader. Connectivity wise, it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.

Swipe Halo Value also has a Face Unlock Feature which allows a user to unlock their tablet using Facial Recognition mechanism that comes with a liveliness check where a person has to blink their eyes.

The company recently entered the phablet arena with the launch of its Android-based Fablet F2 and Fablet F3 in India priced at Rs.7,590 and Rs. 9,290 respectively. It also entered into a partnership with MTV India to launch the 6-inch MTV Volt phablet for Rs. 12,999.
