Superb AC! I'm glad to have bought this. My model is DYe which is an upgrade of this model. I got the DYe model when I ordered this DY model. So you may also receive what I got. It's quite powerful and cools our large bedroom instantly and efficiently. To my knowledge this is the most efficient 2 Ton AC in the market (at the time of writing). I couldn't find any 2 Ton AC consuming less than 1741 watts (1774 watts is for DY model). It has all the features a good AC should. There are advanced and sophisticated models from Hitachi. However with more sophistication comes the difficulty to service or repair the unit. There is still shortage of qualified technicians. Personally I would wait a few more years before adopting such advanced models in order to avoid the headaches of after sales service.My experience with the Voltas service was a good one. These guys installed the unit on the day I received it. I had some issues after the installation which was also resolved to my satisfaction. I still look forward to experiencing the professionalism shown in developed countries. The Indian service simply lack that. Anyway the service aspect was one of the main reasons to opt a Voltas product.Please beware that before you purchase an AC you must look into the room to capacity ratio of an AC. Depending on the room, the required capacity of the AC changes. For example, some rooms need 1.5 Tons whereas others may need 4 Tons capacity! If you miss out on this point your purchase may turn bad. This is especially true with those who have large rooms. Therefore watch out for this.You will have to buy a wall mount separately for the ODU. You will also need to buy a 15 Amp stabilizer to handle voltage fluctuations. Besides this the technician may ask you to get 500 g of white cement to seal the opening of the wall. An installation charge of Rs. 1,500 + Rs. 350 (Installing the Wall Mount) will also be charged. Well these are the additional costs you will incur along with this unit. These installation charges may vary depending on your location.In all this is a powerful AC!UPDATE AFTER 1 YEAR USE========================The DY model will be expensive when compared to latest DYi model due to the copper condenser used in it. To my knowledge, you will get the DYi model when you order this product. Check with the seller whether they will be sending the DY model (copper condenser) or the latest DYi (aluminium condenser). Both models are available but most sellers are sending the newer models rather the actual DY model.I checked the Voltas model's condensers in some sites and found that the only the DY model has a copper condenser. But the subsequent models that we are actually getting like DYe, DYb and the latest DYi, aren't equipped with a copper condenser.This clearly explains why the AC is cheaper by several thousands of Rupees (I bought the DYe model for Rs. 42,000). Aluminum reduces the cost of an AC and hence it's being used in newer models. Copper allows for quicker cooling through better heat absorption and is easy to repair in case the condenser gets damaged. So generally it's like are you willing to pay more to get those advantages or will you forgo those advantages by paying less? It's upto you to decide.I have used this AC for a year, it is working very well and does a good job of cooling my bedroom. Though this wasn't the product I expected, I am happy with this AC. The only issue I sometimes face is during extreme temperatures, it takes a bit longer time to cool the room than usual. Keep these points in mind before you making your decision. Product is fine and as described and the delivery was timely. However, EasyHome's shipment needs improvement - 1 of the locks (used to hang on the wall metal frame) was broken on arrival - I have attached the broken lock and normal locks photos, pls see. Installation team was good enough to organize it in a couple of days ELSE I would have to deal with replacement process with Amazon/ EasyHome, which would have taken longer. Though unrelated but installation also substandard.

Blatant cheating by Voltas.There is no copper coil for outdoor unit .The aluminium coil corrodes and gas leaks in 2- 3 years .Some of my friends have had the same experience.Aluminium coil has to be replaced as it cannot be repaired.Cost of replacement Rs 8750.Factor this in while buying.I will NOT buy any Voltas product ever!

Website told that this AC has copper condenser; however the seller Voltas Shoppe has sent me the aluminium condenser. This is a horrible cheating. This the clear case of consumer court.My flat wall was holed to hang the indoor unit. when they opened up to fit the outdoor unit I realised that the condenser is aluminium instead of copper. Faltu A/C..Please don't busy this product.. Really it's a adorable products. i installed in my office (550sft space).. not getting coolat all running the whole day and upon this there is no gas in outdoor.. i refilled by my nearby technician.. event too not getting cool and really it's pathetic product.. i requested u guys not to buy this product and get in trouble
