Intex FitRist Fitness Band Launched in India at Rs. 999

Intex has unveiled its new FitRist fitness band priced at Rs. 999. The new fitness tracking band from Intex will be available exclusively via Snapdeal.

The FitRist fitness tracker band is the second wearable from Intex while the first was the iRist smartwatch. At this price point, the Intex FitRist will be competing against the popular Xiaomi Mi Band and Micromax's Yu YuFit - both of which - are priced at Rs. 999.

The Intex FitRist packs an Oled display and much like other fitness trackers can measure health and fitness related features such as step monitoring, distance measurement, calorie count, and sleep monitoring. The Bluetooth-enabled FitRist once connected to the smartphone will show notifications for calls, messages, and mails. The company adds that the band can help users control music track on the smartphone.

The company claims that the FitRist can offer up to 12 days of battery life. Additionally, the new wearable device also packs Remote Shutter feature that allows users to control the camera on smartphone from the band itself. FitRist is water-resistant and splash proof preventing from rains and accidental spills. It will be available in Dark Blue and White colours.

The screen on FitRist measures 0.86-inch and has a screen resolution of 96x32 pixels. The device is compatible with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and above as well as iOS 7 and above. It comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and weighs 21 grams.

Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies said, "We have expanded our wearable segment with FitRist smart band for the fitness freak and tech savvy youth.
