Worked perfect right out of the box. This tablet replaces an older ipad that has died a slow death. Sinced I used the ipad mostly as a kindle reader I don't need speed. The Acer tablet is just as fast as my old ipad at about on quarter the cost. It runs all the apps that I used as well. The display is very good and easy to read, indoors. Outdoors it can only be used in dense shade. Wi-fi connection was a snap and downloads files as fast as my laptop. My only complaint is its slow boot times , about 45 seconds. Excelent value....

love this tablet. easy to travel with and use. battery last awhile. light weight and durable

The Acer Iconia One 8 is a replacement for an older version that had always performed flawlessly. It turns out that replacement wasn't necessary, but we have the new one as a second tablet in the house. Surprisingly, this tablet came not only with the components of Windows office, but is running on Android 7, not the older versions used by so many budget friendly tablets. I am astounded by the features and performance of this tablet particularly when one considers the price. I do not believe that I could have found a better value in a tablet.

This replaced my 2014 model that quit working. The old one was more responsive (better processor?)

This is my third Acer tablet, and it responds slower than previous two: loading apps can take too long. (This model doesn't have Intel, but features a Mediatech processor -- which could explain a lot.) It doesn't seem as user-friendly. Had to change out the unappealing new Google keyboard. Exhibits quircky behavior at times. However, the speaker is better than previous models. Some of Acers's "improvements" on this particular tablet are not for the good, in my opinion. I'm having second thoughts about having bought this new device. You may like Acer's changes, but I'm not impressed, personally. Since I'm generally satisfied with this product, I wouldn't say don't buy it, but proceed with caution. AFTER ONLY 3 MONTHS OF USE THIS TABLET COMPLETELY FAILED; WOULD NOT TURN ON. I CALLED BOTH THE SELLER (Vantage Point Corp) AND ACER HOTLINE - ABSOLUTELY FRUSTRATING AND IM STUCK WITH A USELESS, NON-WORKING TABLET. NO REFUND FROM SELLER, AND ACER HUNG UP ON ME. DO NOT BUY THIS TERRIBLE TABLET!!!!
