Box Notes Note-Taking Feature Available for iOS With Updated Box App

Online storage provider Box on Monday has made available its note-taking feature - Box Notes - for iPhone and iPad users, via an updated version of the Box app for iOS.

Users can now download the updated Box app for iPhone and iPad from the App Store. The updated app, now bumped up to version 3.2.0, enables users to create, edit and share notes in the app, along with few improvements and better support for iWork files.

For all Android users, the Box Notes support will be added to the Box app for Android later in the US summer, notes the company on its blog. With Box Notes, the company is now up against the already present note-taking applications like Evernote, Google Docs, OneNote and more.

To create a Box Note, users can simply select "Create New Box Note" from the standard Add Items menu, and the note will automatically be stored with the other Box data on cloud. "Notes are automatically available to collaborators of the folder, so there's no need to share each individual note with the people who need it," said the company.

Describing Box Notes, the blog post reads, "At its core, Box Notes is about making it easy to work with others. It promotes the sharing of information and collaboration. Live, concurrent editing lets everyone read and make changes instantly together. This is great for meetings - even when some participants aren't in the office. And with today's global workforce, not everyone is online and working at the same time - Box Notes is great for those situations too."

Notably, the storage provider Box had announced the beta version of Box Notes last year in September, and recently rolled it out to all the users in May.
