With respect to its video platform YouTube, Google has announced two major things at I/O 2017– one which reduces restrictions of YouTubers to ‘Go Live’ via mobile, and the other that brings YouTube 360 degree videos on to the big screen with the help of Android TV and Chromecast.

Initially, Google only gave the ability to Go Live on YouTube mobile to YouTubers with more than 10,000 subscribers. Then, it reduced that limit to 1,000 subscribers, and now it has reduced it even further to zero. This means, all users with a verified channel and no live stream restrictions in the last 90 days can Go Live without any hiccups through their smartphone.

If you have a verified account, the new ‘Go Live’ option should show up when you tap the video icon, reports Android Police. It’s not showing up for everyone, but it should eventually. You can then choose the option and live stream to your subscribers easily.

The Android TV new UI brings an overhauled home screen with favourite apps being highlighted on the top. There’s now an app drawer, a recommendation tab, and much more. This is seen as a fresh change as Android TV had not been changed much design-wise since 2014. Also, this update comes as a fresh breather for Android TV fans, as not much was announced around it in the recent past.
