India Funding Roundup: Goqii, Grofers, StayGlad, Pluss, Tooler

Goqii
Indiagames founder Vishal Gondal's fitness wearable company Goqii has reportedly raised $13.4 million (roughly Rs. 89.4 crores) in its Series A round of funding, led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA), with participation from DSG Consumer Partners, Cheetah Mobile, and Great Wall Club, along with other other angel investors.

The Goqii band comes free with a subscription plan, which starts at Rs. 3,999 for three months, Rs. 6,999 for six months, and Rs. 11,999 for 12 months.

Grofers
Gurgaon-based hyperlocal delivery startup Grofers has reportedly raised $120 million (roughly Rs. 801 crores) in a funding round led by Japan's SoftBank Corp, and existing investors Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital and Apoletto Managers.

Founded in 2013 by Albinder Dhindsa and Saurabh Kumar, Grofers had previously raised $35 million (roughly Rs. 233 crores) in its Series B in April.

StayGlad
Bengaluru-based beauty at home service provider StayGlad announced Friday that it had secured an undisclosed sum of funding in its Series A funding from Bessemer Venture Partners and Anil Chopra, Former CEO of Lakme Lever.

Founded in 2015 by IIT Kharagpur alumni Kavish Desai, Shashank Gupta, and Prateek Jain, StayGlad had previously raised a seed round of funding from Tracxn Labs and Sahil Barua, Co-Founder, Delhivery in June 2015. StayGlad covers the Bengaluru area, and provides bookings online and on its app. Prateek Jain, Co-Founder CEO, claimed a 20 percent week-on-week growth rate and 70 percent repeat orders every month in an emailed statement.

Pluss
On-demand medicine delivery platform Pluss has reportedly secured $1 million (roughly Rs. 6.6 crores) in pre-Series A funding from IDG Ventures India, m & s partners, and Powerhouse Ventures.Founded by Atit Jain, Madhulika Pandey and Tarun Lawadia in 2015, the startup currently operates in Delhi and Gurgaon, and reportedly plans to expand to five cities by the end of the year.

Tooler
E-laundry services provider Tooler has reportedly raised an undisclosed amount of funding from angel investors. The Delhi-based startup, founded by Bhaskar Singh, Sukanth Srivastav, Vishal Gupta, and Himanshu Arora in June 2015 plans to open retail outlets in Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad.
