Opera Software, soon after launching its Opera 33 browser for desktops, on Tuesday rolled out updates for its Opera and Opera Mini for Android devices.

Besides the new logo, which the company rolled out recently, the updated Opera for Android browser app now shrinks the size of online videos saving Internet data. Users can activate video data savings, by navigating to the browser Settings, tapping on Data Savings, and checking the Video Compression box. The company further said there are some advanced settings as well inside the menu. Further under-the-hood improvements and bug fixes have been made by the Opera for Android team. The official changelog in the Google Play app listing page states a fix for black titles, updated video controls, Pull-to-refresh handle in the Discover feature, and Chromium upgrade to version 46.

As for Opera Mini for Android, the app now tells users when the files have finished downloading. In addition, any new tab would now open in the background without disturbing the current webpage. The updated app includes enhancements for Facebook notifications and several under-the-hood improvements. The app's official changelong adds the update to feature Wait-for-Wi-Fi download dialog, which provides an option to remember your preference, and the context menus on pages look like other Android apps. Both the updated apps are available to download from Google Play.

Opera Software last month launched Opera 33 for desktops with new features and bug fixes. Alongside the update, the company also brought its recently unveiled new product logo to the browser interface. It is available for Windows, OS X, and Linux.
