optical cd drive missing

Its been more than 1 year, No issues so far... Had some issue with display (was a not getting on). So I took to device center & was immediately taken care of. (Keep the sellers printed bill to avoid any service related issues).

Laptop is good and it came with windows 8.1 pre installed but there are no windows licence sticker or papers on the laptop or in the box.

The Asus X553MA Notebook turned out to be precisely what I was expecting. One of the best low budget computers on the market. I bought it for my sister who's a junior college student. I'm writing this review after 6 months of use and I can say that I'm completely satisfied. The primary use of the device is for word processing, internet browsing and entertainment, which involves playing HD videos and music. The device handles all of this with great ease. No noticeable lag. Battery life is about 3 hours, give or take. Do not buy this device if you're looking for high-end performance. I read the other reviews and found out that the users are pretty dissatisfied with its performance. This laptop is not meant to handle heavy duty applications and power-user multi-tasking. It's perfect for home/office use. Just one minor drawback which I noticed. The device has a glossy display. Asus could have added a matte finished one. Other than that, this is the best computer you can get at this price point. Also, kudos to Flipkart on its more than punctual and spot-on delivery.

does the device support optical drive ??????? i am confushed about it.. plz help me as soon as possible...............................

One needs to sit perfectly in front of the screen or you will lose it, the viewing angles are as bad as it can get, its slow. The colors are not vibrant and vivid..just 2 USB ports Asus u gotta be kidding for a person like me who loves to attach USB devices , this kills the joy, The quad core handles multitasking poorly..one has to go through small periods of lags every now and than . Average build quality infact its as average as it can get..the only saving grace is that it come with windows 8.1 preinstalled . and some kind of mcafee anti virus. I don't like it ..its meant for very basic and I mean very basic usage. I wanted to use Linux and it took me quite a while to tweak the BIOs and boot through usb..linux works well via thumb drive. This like most modern system is a secure boot sytem and you will need to disable it . The wifi drops 2 -3 times in a day..im still not sure why and does not auto connect at times. The cam is vga and very ordinary The usb ports seem too weak im a bit scared to use them again and again. One of them is the new usb 3.0 version. The touchpad is smooth and nice. Keys on the keyboard seem fragile. The center of the keyboard slightly convex and fluffy. It has a regular hdmi port and port for monitor , even a lan port or RJ45 port. has bluetooth that works fine. There is a lot of asus bloatware and its better to buy a plain dos system and than install your OS. I suggest you guys spend some more money and go for a lappy around 25k.

Neither licence key of OS is provided nor any where mentioned like on packing or on invoice Validity of antivirus is not mentioned anywhere and not even it is active since it is asking to Buy

When updated to win 10, WiFi stopped working. Thanks to onside warranty, it got fixed eventually. But now the keypad has started giving problems and the laptop is out of warranty. It's made of cheap plastic and very slow to operate. Better to go for an i3 laptop with better body.

the laptop had lot of trouble since i bought. It seems that it is a defective one that was resold. it has a display issue and followed by keypad issue within a year

Do not buy from this seller ever they provided used products. i got this product from this seller on sept 14th and found there was no Asus company seal on it.box was unpacked and tempered. scartches on the labptop and screen. died on the 14th month. motherboard died. replacement cost was the same as a new laptop. horrible TN panel. horrible keyboard. the charger died on 8th month. charger only carried 6 months warranty. had to buy new for 1599 . terrible experience , wasted all my savings for this awful laptop.

Alarming the Flipkart users... not for the products but for the way they play tricks with their consumers. Flipkart promised its Big App Sale discount of Rs. 1500/- and 10% discount for the purchase using SBI Card. Both these offers were applied on my purchase and now without any notice Flipkart is smart in withdrawing offers The incident was reported to the customer care and grievance cell under ID: 150824-083626 several times but it is now nearly a month, no proper response is received. This is how the big giant Flipkart deceives their customers. Be watchful on Flipkart offers. Products and pricing are fair enough! But their way of attracting customers by false offer promises create hardship. I have shared my plight here.
