There is no denying that smartphones are evolving at a rapid pace. We constantly see manufacturers release models that are faster and better than the ones that came before. While most companies focus on improving existing features, there are a few who try to take their phones down different paths. We have seen manufacturers like LG and Motorola try modular approaches, Nextbit with cloud storage and Lenovo with Google’s Project Tango for augmented reality. Asus seems to have joined the list with the ZenFone AR, the first device to support AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality).
Asus ZenFone AR Summary
The Asus ZenFone AR sports a 5.7-inch Super Amoled display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It uses a metal frame and has a leather back. The highlight of the ZenFone AR is the TriCam setup which consists of the primary camera, a motion sensing camera and a depth sensor. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 821 SoC along with 8GB of RAM. It has 128GB of internal storage which is further expandable via the hybrid SIM slot. The ZenFone AR is a dual SIM device with support for 4G and VoLTE. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat with ZenUI 3.5 on top and is powered by a 3300mAh battery.

First of its kind.Ben Panced (Apr 28, 2017) on Gadgets 360 RecommendsASUS knows how to make smartphones. They have upped the ante with Zenfone AR. It has 8GB RAM (more than some laptops out there). Camera is awesome. Google Tango technology available.Is this review helpful?
