Fujifilm Tuesday announced the launch of its entry-level super zoom camera FinePix S4500.

Fujifilm FinePix S4500 features a 14-megapixel CCD sensor with sensor-shift image stabilisation and a 30x optical zoom lens with a focal range of 24-720mm. The 1/2.3-inch sensor CCD with primary colour filter is the same that is found in other S-series models like the FinePix S4200, S4300 and S4400.

The lens elements used in the FinePix S4200 have been treated with multilayer Super EBC (Electron Beam Coating), the same process used for Fujinon broadcasting video lenses and large-format camera lenses. Reducing ghosting and lens flare, the treatment promises clear image quality. The macro mode lets you shoot objects just 2cm in all their glorious detail.

The FinePix S4500 is capable of recording 720p HD video at 30fps. It comes with a 3-inch LCF monitor, with approximate 97% coverage. The camera is powered by 4 AA batteries and comes with a built-in Mini-HDMI port.

The Fujifilm FinePix S4500 also comes with some interesting features like the ability to tag certain photos/ videos that will be automatically to Facebook/ YouTube the next time you connect your camera to a PC. Also included is a "natural light and flash" mode that will come to your rescue can't decide whether it's best to use flash. Choose this mode, press the shutter and automatically capture the same scene twice: once with high sensitivity and natural light, and the second time with Intelligent Flash. Later you can choose one or keep both.

The Fujifilm FinePix S4500 is now available across India for a price of Rs. 17,999. It carries a two-year warranty.
