5 Weddings is an American movie that is set in the United States and India. The movie is about an American journalist, Shanaya Singh (Nargis Fakhri) who travels to India to cover 5 weedings for a magazine feature which shall talk about the multiple Indian wedding ceremonies. Apart from this, the movie also deals with the community of transgender (Hijra) who dance to express happiness at these Indian weddings. Harbhajan Singh (Rajkummar Rao), is a police officer assigned to communicate with her and stops her if she crosses her boundaries and documents a negative story.
