The debut season of this biblical saga ended on a different note than the original 1990 novel, and the second season picks up after the same.
The four horsemen of the apocalypse have dismantled, Adam is no longer the Antichrist, and Gabriel and Beelzebub are off to heaven and hell respectively to lick their wounds.
"In this season we get to have new adventures with old friends, to solve some extremely mysterious mysteries, and we encounter some entirely new humans (living, dead, and otherwise), angels, and demons,” says author and creator Neil Gaiman.
“You can expect an angel and a demon. And that angel will look very much like he’s in love with that demon, I can guarantee that,” adds Michael Sheen, who plays angel Aziraphale in the show.
