About Grace and Frankie Season 1 TV Series

Grace Hanson (Jane Fonda) is a sharp-tongued retired cosmetics mogul, and Frankie Bergstein (Lily Tomlin) is a quirky art teacher — and both are not at all fond of each other. Their husbands, Robert (Martin Sheen) and Sol (Sam Waterston), are successful divorce lawyers who bring them to dinner one day to announce the separation with their wives — to be with each other as same-sex marriage is now legal.

This news tears the world of Grace and Frankie apart. They are forced to live with each other, even though they have never particularly liked each other. While both are adjusting to live with each other, that leads to a series of wacky adventures as they navigate family drama, business ventures, medical scares, and romantic turmoil — kicking off their journey of becoming best friends from frenemies.
