As is the case with most games these days, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition has a day one patch. And unlike most games these days, it isn’t as big as you’d think. Well, at least on the PS4.

Skyrim Special Edition has a 636.1MB day one patch on the PS4. We discovered this on popping in our retail disc of the game into the console. It’s a small amount by modern gaming standards and the patch notes are equally sketchy claiming “general optimisations” and little else.

And if you’re wondering how much of a deal breaker it might be to the experience, we couldn’t see any perceptible differences in our review of Skyrim Special Edition.

In our review we noted that while the adventuring is as addictive as ever, Skyrim Special Edition’s carrying over of legacy bugs and general clunkiness despite a patch do it no favours.

It doesn’t help matters that the visuals, while stunning outdoors do take a hit when you’re in the game’s many dungeons and caverns. More so at the full price of $60 or Rs. 3,499 if you’re in India.
