Mahindra introduces the XUV400 Pro in India, addressing concerns about the outdated interior with revamped features. The upgraded interior includes a new 26.04 cm touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and AdrenoX connected car technology.
Pro model features encompass dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, a wireless charger, and rear USB ports. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with Alexa support coming soon. Nebula Blue is introduced as a new exterior color, enhancing the XUV400 Pro's appeal.
Royal Enfield's Shotgun 350 Captured in New Spy Shots
The upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 350, a bobber based on the Classic 350, has been spotted again in spy shots, revealing more details. The bike features a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, distinguishing it from the Classic 350's setup. The tyres lack a white-walled design, and the bike is equipped with a side pannier, likely the "Black Commuter Pannier" for the Classic 350.
Other details include a slash-cut exhaust, upright riding posture with ape-hanger handlebars, forward-set footpegs, and a removable pillion seat. LED turn indicators and an LED headlight are expected, powered by the same 349cc single-cylinder engine as the Classic 350.
The Shotgun 350 is anticipated to be launched by mid-2024, priced around Rs. 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom), competing with rivals like the Jawa Perak and Jawa 42 Bobber.
Global Electric Vehicle Sales Reached New Heights in November 2023
In November 2023, electric vehicle (EV) sales surged to 1,385,000 units globally, surpassing the previous record set in September. This accounted for 19 percent of the total auto market, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) contributing 13 percent. Full-electric vehicle sales witnessed a remarkable 25% YoY growth, constituting 69 percent of all plug-in registrations.
Plug-in hybrids also excelled, marking a 40 percent YoY increase. The Tesla Model Y led the sales chart with 115,192 units, followed by the BYD Song and Tesla Model 3. Year-to-date, the Model Y maintained dominance with 1,085,580 units. EVs are increasingly shaping the automotive landscape, reflecting a growing preference for sustainable transportation.
