Mahindra XUV.e8 Electric SUV's Details Revealed Ahead of Launch

Mahindra is all set to roll out a new electric SUV, the new XUV.e8 SUV. Ahead of its official launch, there have been new rumours and news regarding the vehicle. A set of leaks of the vehicle has revealed information about the XUV's interiors and designs. The recent spotting of the vehicle on the Bangalore-Chennai highway in India has offered a glimpse of the upcoming vehicle. It will reportedly get a daytime running LED light bar, along with a split LED headlight system. The pictures leaked recently have given a good idea about the car's front as well as back side.

The rear is said to be similar to XUV700 in terms of taillights, wiper, an antenna and other features. In terms of battery, the electric vehicle is expected to come with a 80kWh battery pack with capacity to generate power ranging between 230bhp and 345bhp. While the car has been spotted testing in India, there are no reports about the launch of e-SUV in India. However, it can be introduced next year with an expected price range of Rs. 35 lakh. 

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Gets Wingman Feature

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has now got a new Wingman feature that allows riders to get an updated information about the health and condition of their bike. The Super Meteor 650 from Royal Enfield will come equipped the new feature as a default fitment. However, it will cost an extra Rs. 6,500 over the ex-showroom pricing. Hence, the price of the bike will go up by Rs. 6,500. 

Royal Enfield has clarified that the Wingman function is compatible to be used on both iOS and Android smartphone with RE app and telematic devices. This development will eventually be installed in other Royal Enfield models as well. Currently, it is only available to buyers in India. 

EG Group Partners With Tesla to Install Charging Stations

EG Group, a British gas station operation, has partnered with Tesla to buy their fast chargers for electric vehicles. The group has not disclosed the deal amount yet. However, the charging stations will be installed at select locations in the UK and Europe. It is not coming to the US or other global markets now. 

Tesla has recently also signed a deal with EV maker BP. The company will pay $100 million for Tesla chargers. Such moves encourage the demand and supply of Tesla EV cars in global markets as the availability of charging stations makes potential buyers confident about the company's seamless services. 

Hyundai, Kia Dominate Fastest Charging EVs Sector

The charging time for EVs determine which vehicle does a buyer would invest in. Regarding this, it seems to be a good time for Hyundai as well as Kia as their new EVs have been claimed to be the fastest charging vehicles in the segment. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 were claimed to charge 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. This news is expected to improve the sales of both the cars as shorten charging periods for EVs is an important factor for the purchase of vehicles. 

By reducing charging times, Hyundai and Kia are addressing one of the main concerns of potential EV owners: range anxiety. Such progress transforms electric vehicles into feasible alternatives of environment-friendly transport mode.
