Over the last few years, the dynamics of mobile phone manufacturing arena have changed significantly; companies that were once at the top are nowhere to be seen and others have risen to the helm. LG belongs firmly to the first category, as a company that is struggling to keep pace with current conditions in the smartphone market. Meanwhile it's once close competitor and Korean counterpart Samsung has taken the top spot.LG seems to have been trying a lot of tactics but is yet to get to come up with a successful high-end Android device. It announced the first dual-core smartphone last year and similarly the first quad-core phone this year (although Optimus 4X HD was last to reach the market). At first glance, LG seems to have finally stuck gold with 4X HD, but will this phone finally help the company change its fortunes, we will find out in this review.

LG Optimus 4X HD Summary

LG Optimus 4X HD mobile was launched in July 2012. The phone comes with a 4.70-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 720x1280 pixels at a pixel density of 312 pixels per inch (ppi). LG Optimus 4X HD is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. It comes with 1GB of RAM. The LG Optimus 4X HD runs Android 4.0 and is powered by a 2150mAh non-removable battery.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the LG Optimus 4X HD on the rear packs 8-megapixel camera. It sports a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.

LG Optimus 4X HD is based on Android 4.0 and packs 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 64GB). The LG Optimus 4X HD is a single SIM (GSM) mobile that accepts a Regular-SIM card. The LG Optimus 4X HD measures 132.40 x 68.10 x 8.90mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 140.00 grams.
