Google unveiled the Android One initiative at its annual developers conference in June with Micromax, Karbonn, and Spice confirmed as the launch partners. Under the programme, manufacturers benefit from lower cost of development, by sharing integration and testing resources with Google. Android One customers are promised regular software updates, so this sounds like a win-win, at least on paper.
Micromax Canvas A1 Summary
Micromax Canvas A1 mobile was launched in September 2014. The phone comes with a 4.50-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 480x854 pixels. Micromax Canvas A1 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor. It comes with 1GB of RAM. The Micromax Canvas A1 runs Android 4.4.4 and is powered by a 1700mAh removable battery.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Micromax Canvas A1 on the rear packs 5-megapixel camera. It sports a 2.4-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
Micromax Canvas A1 is based on Android 4.4.4 and packs 4GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Micromax Canvas A1 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Micro-SIM and Micro-SIM cards. The Micromax Canvas A1 measures 132.00 x 90.00 x 67.00mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 136.00 grams. It was launched in Magnetic Black and Serene White colours.
Connectivity options on the Micromax Canvas A1 include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.00, FM radioWi-Fi Direct, and 3G. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass/ magnetometer.
