  • Coolpad Note 5 comes with dual apps support

Coolpad has launched the Note 5 smartphone in India at Rs. 10,999. It will be sold from October 20 through the open sale model. At that price range, the Coolpad Note 5 offers many heavy-duty features that make it a big bang for your buck. The smartphone will be an Amazon India exclusive.

For starters, the big talking point is the 4010mAh battery, and the octa-core Snapdragon 617 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM.

The smartphone looks impressive on paper, and it features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with 2.5D Curved Glass and a pixel density of 401ppi. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Cool UI 8.0 operating system, and supports all major 4G bands in India (with 4G VoLTE support as well). However, there are five spotlight features that make the smartphone stand out in the crowd and makes it worth the money.

1) Coolpad Note 5 battery
As mentioned, the Coolpad Note 5 sports a huge 4010mAh battery. This is above the range of all the batteries found on smartphones in this price range. Furthermore, the battery is removable which means that it can be easily replaceable upon wear and tear, a rarity these days. Plus, it supports fast charging and Coolpad claims that the battery offers up to 200 hours of standby time on a single charge.

2) Coolpad Note 5 has 4GB of RAM
If you look at its competitors at the price point, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note and the LeEco Le 2 both offer 3GB RAM. However, the Coolpad Note 5 offers 4GB of RAM alongside a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor and an ARM Cortex-A53 GPU.

3) Coolpad Note 5 comes with 32GB of storage
The inbuilt storage capacity very decent at its price at 32GB. This is more than sufficient for an average user whose main usage of storage goes in apps and photos. For the more professional users, there is also the option to expand the storage via the microSD slot (up to 64GB).

4) Coolpad Note 5 comes with a fingerprint scanner
The Coolpad Note 5 sports a fingerprint scanner as well for added security - the company is touting gesture shortcuts as well, apart from an unlocking time of 0.5 seconds. While this certainly isn't the fastest, it's pretty decent at this price point. The scanner is housed at the back of the device, just below the camera ring.

5) Coolpad Note 5 supports dual apps
Just like the Coolpad Max that was launched in May, the Coolpad Note 5 also comes with the Dual Space system. It essentially enables users to have two accounts on one smartphone. This means you can make two accounts of WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, and other apps simultaneously on the same phone. You can choose which app to install on which account, and the other account won't reflect it.
