Lava, after launching the selfie-focused Iris X5 back in September, has launched another smartphone to cash-in on the selfie-trend - the Iris Selfie 50 . The smartphone has been listed on the company's site priced at Rs. 7,999.

There is no official word on the availability of the Lava Iris Selfie 50; however, we expect the company will announce the availability of the smartphone in the coming days. The highlight feature of the Iris Selfie 50 handset is the 5-megapixel front-facing autofocus camera that comes accompanied by an LED flash.

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based Iris Selfie 50 comes with dual-SIM support, featuring one regular SIM slot and the other Micro-SIM. It sports a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD IPS display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Apart from the 5-megapixel front camera, the Iris Selfie 50 also packs an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with BSI II sensor and dual-LED flash. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options.
