Chipmaker Qualcomm has announced two new processors, Snapdragon 400 and 200, to target the mid-tier and entry-level smartphone segments. The company had earlier announced the Snapdragon 800 and 600 processors targeted at premier and high end smartphones, tablets and mobile devices.

The Snapdragon 400 processors will include CPU options of Dual Krait CPUs running at up to 1.7GHz per core featuring Asynchronous Symmetric Multiprocessing (aSMP) and Quad ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs running at up to 1.4GHz per core for entry level devices.
