While Samsung last month made it plainly obvious that the Galaxy S6 Active smartphone exists, it now has once again made it evident by spilling out some of the specifications and the design of the handset on its 'Support' page - which now has been taken down.

As per the Samsung US' support page (via GSMArena), the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active features the same set of specifications as its original flagship variant, the Galaxy S6. The handset features 5.1-inch Quad HD (1440x2560 pixels) Super Amoled display and is powered by company's own octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage, besides a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone is seen backed by a 2550mAh non-removable battery. Also, the device measures and weighs the same as the Galaxy S6 - 143.5x70.6x6.85mm and 138 grams.

The image shown on the website also indicates the Galaxy S6 Active will feature three hardware control keys like its predecessor, Galaxy S5 Active, alongside an additional key on its left side. Although there was no other information on the device, it can also be safely assumed that like its predecessors, the Galaxy S6 Active will be dustproof, shock-resistant, and water-resistant, apart from featuring a water-resistant earphone jack so one can use earphones even during wet conditions.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active upon its launch should arrive in two Black and White camouflage colour schemes, which further enhances the rugged look of the handset, as per the previous leaks. Samsung last month confirmed the existence of the handset by listing it on its Samsung Plus program page with other eligible devices.
