OnePlus made its much-anticipated entry into the true wireless audio segment earlier this year with the OnePlus Buds. Although affordably priced and very good-looking, I didn't find the company's first true wireless earphones compelling enough to recommend over some of the excellent competing options that are also available, in my review. Interestingly enough, the company's second true wireless headset is already here, and it looks to address many of the concerns that affect its more expensive counterpart.
OnePlus Buds Z True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Earphones Summary
The OnePlus Buds Z is the company's latest true wireless headset, and is considerably more affordable than the OnePlus Buds. For Rs. 2,999, the earphones offer SBC and AAC Bluetooth codec support, decent battery life, Dolby Atmos support with OnePlus smartphones and more. The sound quality is decent for the price, with enough detail and precision thanks to a proper in-canal fit and classic true wireless look and feel.
Although the touch controls on the earphones are limited, and the entire feature set still needs a OnePlus smartphone to unlock, the OnePlus Buds Z is objectively a better pair of earphones than the Buds, despite the lower price. This is the ideal pair of true wireless earphones, if you're shopping on a tight budget.
